About the Greenpark School Foodbank

We established our foodbank in 2020 after seeing the need during the lockdowns. It is one of our favourite ways to live out our values and give back to the community we love.

How it works

Our foodbank is entirely volunteer run and private donation funded, this means we only have capacity to provide short-term support for those needing a little extra help to get through a tough spot.

For the families referred to us we provide a range of support depending on their needs.

This can look like:

  • A fortnightly food box delivered and tailored specifically for either an individual, couple, or family.
  • One off emergency food parcels or pre made meals delivered.

We currently provide support in Greenpark, Lincoln, Rolleston, Selwyn Huts, Little River and Birdlings Flat.

Receiving an emergency food parcel

Unfortunately we have limited capability and don’t often have space to add more families to our roster.

But if you know someone who could use a little extra support at the moment, we will do our best to fit them in for an emergency parcel or point you in the direction of other places that could help, please do get in touch.

Help us help our community

If you have the capacity to donate to the food bank, or even just want to give some of your time to help, we’d love to hear from you.
